Welcome to the ‘Greener Welly’!

Responding to many requests from our customers, we are so thrilled to introduce our organic range of healthy foods for you to try and perhaps experiment with new nutritious recipes which we will post weekly. We stock organic black rice, organic lentils, organic quinoa, dried apricots and so much more.

So pop in, fill up, enjoy a quick coffee or organic tea with breakfast, lunch or and maybe just a naughty treat!

The love for organic products is racing through the village.

We love Macs Farm on the north edge of Ditchling near the Dumbrells workshops where Susie and her crew work tirelessly with their ‘girls’ who produce the loveliest organic eggs. They are open for collection from the egg shack Tuesday-Saturday mornings. We both use their eggs for all our cakes and catering in the Green Welly café but also sell boxes for those who miss their opening times.

The arrival of Ed, the Sussex Peasant, every Thursday next to the church in the centre of the village was welcomed with open arms. He provides organic vegetables, fruit, bread, dairy and fish, all locally sourced in Sussex. Ed’s delightful team has been bringing the community together during a challenging 12 months.

We are all working together to provide for our customers so do the rounds and please please support local businesses!
